A Sesshin is a period of intensive meditation for experienced practitioners that lasts for one week. Typically it includes a rigorous meditation schedule of sitting meditation (zazen) and walking meditation (kinhin), interviews with the teacher (dokusan), silent formal meals, and daily dharma talks. Sesshin is traditionally offered in the spring and fall seasons, but often throughout the year.
This sesshin begins with arrival around 3 pm on Saturday, March 15 and continues through Thursday, March 20. Friday, March 21 is a travel day. The fee for the sesshin can be found on our Fees and Rates page.
Everyone is invited to enjoy the natural hot springs during off hours.
