New Years at the Bodhi: Three Great Days of Cleaning
Join us in refreshing the Bodhi for the New Year!
Participants will gather for dinner on December 28.
The next three days will be filled with Samu (work
practice), engaging group activities like yoga and
QiGong, relaxing hot pool time, and succulent
vegetarian meals. On New Year's Eve, we will
practice Zazen (sitting meditation) and Kinhin
(walking meditation), and enjoy the hot pools, then
we will light a bonfire to symbolically release any
burdens from the past year. We'll conclude the
celebration with a New Year's Day Ceremony at
10:30 a.m., followed by a traditional Festive Lunch.
Space is limited for this program, so please contact the Bodhi

Kyudo
Kyudo is the Japanese martial art most often compared to Zen. It is a martial art using the bow, but unlike other kinds of archery, the real aim is far more than merely hitting a target. With total awareness of oneself, the spirit of Kyudo is expressed by the term mushin – pure mind free from all distracting thoughts.
